With each upgrade, the production buildings allow you to increase certain capacities, such as: your fleet of usable ships, storage capacity, sailors capacity and regeneration rate, or they will allow you to increase the rate of production of the essential materials required in the game.

This page focuses on the OUTPUT of buildings. To review the upgrade costs and requirements, please refer to the Building Upgrades page.

Town Hall

Townhall

The Town Hall is the main building in your port. Increasing the level of the Town Hall will increase the maximum levels of all the other buildings (and the quantity of some buildings), as well as increasing sailor regeneration and capacity.

TIP: When a new Town Hall level becomes available, try to upgrade it right away. When that's done, immediately upgrade your Main Dock. This way, you'll always have the maximum number of ships available in your fleet.

Fishing Pier

Pier

At the Fishing Pier, small fishing boats constantly collect Seaport's most basic resource, fish. The level of your Fishing Pier determines how many fishing boats are active, how fast fish is collected, and how much fish can be stored. Once the Fishing Pier is full, the fisherman take a break. They will start up again once the fish is collected.

TIP: Even if you keep your Fishing Pier fully upgraded (and it is recommended that you do), you will not produce enough fish to keep all of your production buildings running all day. However, production buildings are more efficient at producing resources than any destination, so you want to keep them running as much as you can (all except for the Workshop). The best way to supplement your fish supply is by farming Cloth (Cloth) and sending it to Market Town in exchange for fish. To gain access to the Cloth destination, you need to complete John Kendrick's contracts. This shouldn't be too hard at any level.

Main Dock

Main dock

The level of your Main Dock determines how many ships can be active in your fleet.

TIP: As you upgrade your Dock and your fleet grows, the docking process will take up more and more time. When this becomes a problem, consider turning on the Fast Ships feature. This makes your ships arrive and leave the port much faster. All you have to do is open the Settings window from the panel on the right of your screen and set the Fast Ships option to On. The Fast Ships option is applied only when your ships arrive and leave your port. The voyage to the destinations on the map is not influenced.

Workshop

The Workshop is a special production building that can produce Mechanical Parts (Mechanicalpart), Fuel (Fuel) and Concrete (Concrete). Only one material can be produced at a time and each material has their own input requirements.

Materials produced in the Workshop are stored in the Warehouse (yes, they take up precious warehouse space) and can be traded at the Market Town.
